KWA and the Wisconsin Wrestling League

Since the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the normalcy we once knew in the youth wrestling world, a new league has surfaced in Wisconsin known as the Wisconsin Wrestling League. This league will consist of both club and local/program level teams and will have competitions statewide for 3 different divisions (K-2), (3-5), and (6-8).

Please take some time to view the Wisconsin Wrestling League website for more information. Note: Many teams will be added to this league as it was just made public.

The KWA has joined the league in these early structuring stages as we are seeking opportunities for our wrestlers that want to wrestle this year and this league was a thought that came to reality during this pandemic.

All youth wrestlers grades K-8 that are registered with the Kenosha Wrestling Academy and have a valid USA Wrestling card will be available to join a team to attend tournaments in the league. We strongly encourage you to register ASAP if you would like the opportunity to be on one of our team rosters to join the league. Any KWA member regardless of being a WI or IL resident will be able to compete in the league and the Championship series.

The competition schedule for this league will be finalized in November and the KWA will be allowed to compete at events in the months of December and January. In the month of February we will have a qualifier and Championship event (For Qualifiers). This will be separate from the WWF State Championships and other local tournaments available.
